Friends of Northeast Georgia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and strengthening the communities of Northeast Georgia.
Founded by local residents who share a vision for a better future, we bring people, businesses, and community leaders together to make a positive impact. Through local partnerships and initiatives, we support community causes, expand educational opportunities, and protect the natural resources that make our region special.
Every contribution helps us build a stronger, healthier, and more sustainable Northeast Georgia—for today and for generations to come.
Giving Back
Giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do.
We’re proud to support the Rails to Trails project, transforming unused railway corridors into scenic multi-use paths for recreation, connection, and conservation.
We’re also working to create a universally accessible kayak launch on Tallulah Falls Lake, making it easier for people of all abilities to enjoy Northeast Georgia’s waterways.
Together, these projects reflect our commitment to creating accessible, sustainable, and welcoming spaces for everyone.
